A Southwest Airlines Boeing 737-8 MAX, registration N8701Q performing flight WN-2367 from Honolulu,HI to San Diego,CA (USA), was enroute at FL350 over the Pacific Ocean about 640nm eastnortheast of Honolulu when the crew decided to return to Honolulu due to the right hand windshield’s outer pane developing cracks. The aircraft maintained FL350 and landed safely back in Honolulu about 3 hours after departure.
A replacement flight was scheduled for the following day.
The occurrence aircraft returned to service about 12 hours after landing back.
